Chocolate, ricotta and banana brownies recipe

chocolate and banana cake with ricotta

Here is one of my favorite sweets - chocolate, ricotta and banana brownies. It's very moist and delicious, and bananas give it its original distinct taste. The result is something between a cheesecake and brownies. Both kids and adults will go bananas over it :-))))) Try it - you'll love it!

To make a chocolate, ricotta and banana brownies you need:

(For the chocolate layer):
  • 100g (4 oz) dark chocolate
  • 100g (4 oz) butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2tbsp flour
  • 4tbsp sugar
  • a pinch of salt
(For ricotta and banana layer):
  • 200g (8 oz) fresh ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2tbsp sugar
  • 2 bananas

Melt the chocolate and butter using a double boiler

Add the eggs, flour, sugar, salt and stir well

For the white layer: blend bananas to make a puree

Combine the mashed bananas, ricotta, eggs, sugar and mix well

Grease a baking tin with some oil, then pour 2tbsp of a chocolate mixture and 2tbsp of a ricotta cream in it

Go on until you finish the creams

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and bake the cake for 30 minutes

Let it cool completely and enjoy! The cake tastes even better if you prepare it a day ahead and leave it in the fridge for a night. Bon appetit :-)
