Creamy apple cake recipe

An apple a day... I assume it works also with apple cakes for all those who have a sweet-tooth like me:-))) Autumn is the perfect time of year for baking apple cakes. They are perfect for breakfast, tea time and any time of the day! This recipe is for all apple lovers:-)

To prepare this creamy apple cake you need:

- 200g (7 oz) plain flour
- 150g (5 oz) sugar (for pastry) and 100g (4 ounces) sugar (for cream)
- 1tsp baking powder
- 100g (4 oz) soft butter
- 2 eggs
- 200ml milk
- 125g (4 oz) natural yogurt
- 5 apples

Combine the flour, 150g of sugar, soft butter and baking powder

And mix it until it looks crubly

Peel and slice the apples

Grease the baking tin with some butter and put 1/2 of the crumble mixture in it

Put the apples on top of this ''crusty'' pastry

And sprinkle the rest of the crumble mixture all over the top of the apples

Preheat the oven to 200C and bake the cake for 20 minutes. In the meantime prepare the cream: combine the eggs, milk, 100g sugar and yogurt and beat them all together using a blender

Take the cake out of the oven (after 20 minutes have passed) and pour the cream on top of the cake

Bake for other 45 minutes. And here it is:-)

And a piece:-)

 Enjoy your cup of tea:-)
