My lazy Sacher torte (chocolate and jam cake)

Who doesn't know Sacher torte :-) It's soooo delicious and moist. The combination of chocolate and apricot jam is just perfect. But usually it takes so much time to make it. I found my own solution! Here is the recipe of a ''lazy'' Sacher torte :-) I call it ''lazy'' because it's incredibly quick and easy to make and the result will surprise you. Chocolate lovers, this recipe is for you :-) 
 

To make a ''lazy'' Sacher cake you need:

  • 200g (7 oz) flour
  • 1,5tbsp cocoa powder
  • 120g (4 oz) sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g (3,5 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 3tbsp milk
  • 15g (0,5 oz) baking powder
  • vanilla powder
  • 300g (10 oz) apricot or peach jam


Whisk the eggs with sugar


Add ricotta cheese


Add milk, flour, baking powder and vanilla and stir well


Add cocoa powder and stir well again


Grease a baking form and fill it with the pastry


Place the jam on top of the pastry


Preheat the oven to 180C/365F and bake the cake for 40 minutes


Let it cool, cut in slices and enjoy -  quick, easy and yummy :-) Bon appetit!
