Mushrooms (champignon) pate

This champignon pate is super easy to make. It's flavorful, healthy, delicious and ideal as a starter or party food. Just spread it on some fresh bread slices and serve. Your guests will enjoy it a lot :-) 

You need:

  • 500g (18 oz) champignon mushrooms
  • 150g (1 cup) peeled almonds
  • 50g (2 tbsp) butter
  • 1 little onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2tsp dried thyme

Melt the butter and fry the chopped onion and garlic in it

Add the mushrooms (cut in small pieces) and cook until they are ready and the liquid is completely evaporated

Grind the almonds in a mixer

Add the mushrooms-and-onion mixture to the almonds and turn them in a pate using a mixer

Add salt, pepper and dried thyme and mix well

Keep the ready pate in a fridge. Enjoy it with a slice of a soft bread and bon appetit!
