Simple syrup recipe for cakes
Here is a recipe of a simple lemon syrup for cakes. It's very easy to make and will take you just a few minutes.
You need:
- 200ml (7 fl oz) water
- 100g (4 oz) sugar
- 1 big lemon zest
Combine all the ingredients
Bring them to boil and keep boiling for 3-4 minutes. Then let the mixture cool completely
And strain it. Sprinkle it over each cake layer before spreading on the cream. Bon appetit:-)
